Mr. Martinez began his practice in Ponce Enrile Cayetano Reyes & Manalastas in 1992, where he was exposed to the different areas of law practice. Thereafter, he accepted the invitation to join Castillo Zamora & Poblador. Spending seven years in said law firm, he specialized in litigation, labor, immigration and intellectual property. He became the Philippine delegate to the Intellectual Property Rights Training Course of the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation, Tokyo, Japan, in 1998.
In 2000, he founded his own law firm - Martinez & Mendoza. It was in this firm where Mr. Martinez was able to expand his practice further, perfecting the art of appellate practice.
In 2006, he was joined by Attys. Mark Vergara, Manuel Gonzalez and Elmer Serrano giving birth to MVGS Law. He heads the Litigation Practice Group of the Firm. Presently, Mr. Martinez is actively involved in the Firm's family law practice, having advised and represented clients on legal proceedings involving adoption, annulment of marriage, legal separation and other domestic relations cases. He also has extensive experience in succession law practice, having handled proceedings relating to probate of will and intestate proceedings.
Mr. Martinez is also involved in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice, and is an Appeals Court Mediator accredited by the Philippine Judicial Academy.
Prior to co-founding the firm's predecessor Martinez & Mendoza in 2000, Mr. Martinez was a partner in Castillo & Poblador.
